All About CLAT Exam (2024)

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance exam for undergraduate law programs at 25 out of 27 National Law Universities (NLUs) in India.

Here's what you need to know about CLAT 2024:

Eligibility:

  • Indian Nationals/NRIs seeking admission to UG programmes can apply.
  • Minimum percentage of marks required:
    • General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI: 45%
    • SC/ST: 40%
  • Candidates appearing in their qualifying exam (10+2) in March/April 2024 can also apply.

 

Exam Format:

  • Offline mode: Scheduled for December 3rd, 2023, from 2 PM to 4 PM.
  • Five sections:
    • English Language (40 marks)
    • Current Affairs including General Knowledge (40 marks)
    • Legal Reasoning (40 marks)
    • Logical Reasoning (40 marks)
    • Quantitative Techniques (40 marks)
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Marking scheme: 1 mark for each correct answer, 0.25 mark deduction for each wrong answer.

 

Important Dates:

  • Online Registration: July 1st, 2023 to November 3rd, 2023 (closed)
  • Admit Card Download: November 20th, 2023 onwards
  • Exam Date: December 3rd, 2023
